ELAINE CROCKER, YET STAND, INC. FOUNDER/PRESIDENT/DIRECTOR
For over twenty years, helping others has been Elaine Crocker’s central mission. She is a Sexual Assault Survivor. Rather than accept defeat and drown in trauma she trusted her relationship with God, she stood in Faith, she accepted help from community and church and is now a testament to the positive impact that faith, outreach, community support, and education, can have in the lives of Sexual Assault Survivors
In March 2024, Ms. Crocker was a recipient of the Central Virginia Most Influential Women Award, for her and Yet Stand, Inc's community services.
Elaine has worked in Corporate America as a Technical Recruiter for over 20 years. She is also the proud mother of a beautiful and talented son. Elaine’s many accomplishments include:

Founded Yet Stand, Inc. with the purpose of partnering with victims and survivors of sexual abuse helping them make the journey towards healing.

Elaine has written two plays about her sexual abuse experiences: “Raining Grace”, which was presented in 2015 and “Yet I Stand” which is presented annually in the month of April in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Elaine worked as a Case Manager for Friends of Guest House a group home that helps women successfully reenter the community from incarceration, most of whom were recovering from sexual assault.

Elaine has received Sexual Assault and Crisis training from Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault (RCASA) and Darkness to Light End Child Sexual Abuse and Fairfax County Domestic and Sexual Assault Services and Fairfax County Speak Up Be Safe. Elaine is currently pursuing a degree in Biblical Counseling.

Elaine was the first recipient of the Virginia Williams Community Service Award presented by the Northern Virginia Urban League Guild. In March 2024, Elaine is one of the recipients of the Central VA Most Influential Women Award.
